I observe, I breathe, I explode and I smile

I was born in the rugged landscape of the Calabrian hills, in Acri, and I graduated in scenography and costume in Perugia. After my studies, I moved to Rome, where I lived for many years on the stages as an actress, costume designer and set designer for theater, cinema and television. It was during this period that I embarked on a new artistic path, driven by a passion for materials, which I love to define as aggregation of molecules capable of expressing rigidity, softness or silkiness.

This is how my experimentation began: silk, wool, velvet, technical fabrics and many other are the subjects that fueled my creative research. My creations have found space in the staging of shows and theatrical works. After traveling between New York, Spain, Burma and France, I chose to settle in Palermo, a city that I consider my great open-air studio.

For me, nothing is impossible. My imagination is freed when the project ends and love begins, that added value that gives life to my creative action. The tissue is the starting point: from it I shape my visions, transforming the material to free it from its constraints. Each of my garments, accessories or clothes is born from the material itself, which I process and reinvent to give it new life. I observe, I breathe, I explode and I smile.

The Scarf Project was born as a gesture of love. Through a mix of fabrics with different textures and consistencies, I want to convey a plurality of tactile and visual sensations. I work exclusively on unique pieces, because every human being is unique.

I use colors with boldness and freedom, merging the masculine and the feminine in a single scarf, thus reconstructing a harmonious unity.

I treat every accessory as a work of art. You don't just wear my scarf: you wear a state.
